The RocktoberFest committee would like to thank this great community for all your support of RocktoberFest 2013. It was a great day, very well attended and fun was had by all. Thank you to the Bijou Cineplex and their staff for the free movies as well as running around all morning assisting with the set up of the event, Lamoille Fit & Healthy Council for the 5K, United Way for running the pumpkin bowling , Cara from Shape in Up 24 for the scavenger hunt, hoola hoop contests and minute to win it, Highfield’s Composting and Elly from LRSWD for all their assistance in making this a zero waste event, Artistic Roots and Starfire Jewelry for the face painting, Larry from Jourdan’s Electrical for getting power for the bands, Caplan’s and Puffer Church for their assistance with power for our vendors, Morrisville Rotary, Lost Nation Brewing, Rock Art Brewery, Menard’s Agway for getting the beer tent up and running, Tom Hirshak for running the great chair auction, Morrisville Fire Department, Morristown Police Department and Morristown Rescue for your assistance.
The 1st place winners of the burger contest: Deb’s Place-best classic burger, Moog’s Place-best stuffed burger, CCV Students-best anything goes burger, congratulations to you all!!
The scarecrow contest winners: CCV-1st place, Artistic Roots-2nd place, Resource-3rd place.
MACC’s “I Love it Here” contest winners , 1st place, Patrick Spencer, the railroad bridge, 2nd place Karen Laforce, Noyes House, 3rd place Francis Favreau’s picture of David Lowe at the clock tower. There are also 4 honorable mentions and they can be seen in Morristown Town office windows on Portland St.
